SWIMMING! And it's free, too!

If there's one thing kids will never tire of over the course of the summer, it's swimming! Some people have pools in their backyards or at their apartment complex... but for those that don't, kids will often go looking for a place to cool off when the heat gets to be too much.

Ditches and arroyos can be very enticing, but also incredibly dangerous. Every year, children and adults alike are pulled from the rushing waters after being caught off guard by a flash flood. To help dissuade this behavior, the City of Albuquerque has partnered with the local fire departments to offer FREE swimming passes to the public. There are only 100,000 available, so get yours soon!

You can get all the information about the free passes here.
For other information about the public pools around town including pricing, locations and special events you can see it here.

Thanks to Monique for the idea!
