FREE!! Cowboy Camelids Alpaca Ranch!

My mom and daughter stumbled across this darling little alpaca ranch shortly after it opened a few years ago. Just off the main highway in Bosque Farms, they are typically open on weekends, and it's free to visit!

You can feed the Alpacas, see how they are groomed, and even help clean stalls if you are so inclined. They welcome visitors to come and wander and learn all there is to know about these furry little guys. There is no fee to get in or to feed the animals, but of course they welcome donations. They also have a cute little shop in the back of the property that you can browse and buy alpaca yarn, clothes, shoes, second-hand items and more.

It's a darling little place to visit, and my daughter LOVES it. Every time we drive by and their sign is out to indicate they are open, she yells "ALPACA PETTING!!" It really is a lot of fun for the kids and adults alike! Only 20 minutes from Albuquerque, it's well worth the drive into the quiet town to see these precious little guys (and gals!).

You can get more information and see pictures at their website: http://www.cowboycamelids.com/index.html
